This Privacy Policy explains what information Plug Figures (“Plug Figures”, “we”, “us”) collects through this website, plugfigures.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only. Client data processed inside the Plug Figures product (for example, data connected from QuickBooks) is governed by the agreement with the firm that uses the product.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you book a demo or send us a message, we collect what you enter in the form. Depending on the form, that can include:

• Your name, work email address and firm name
• Your role, and details about your firm such as size, number of clients, QuickBooks version, services and industries
• A description of a client or the question you’re asking, and any other information you choose to include

Please don’t include sensitive personal information or client financial data in these forms.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, we and our service providers automatically collect some technical information, including:

• Usage information, such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the page that referred you, and the actions you take
• Device and browser information, such as browser type, operating system, screen size and language
• Approximate location (such as city or country) derived from your IP address
• Security and server logs, used to keep the site available and protect it from abuse

Much of this is collected through Google Analytics and cookies, described below.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to your requests, schedule and prepare demos, and answer your questions
• Follow up with you about Plug Figures — our own internal marketing, such as relevant product information or a check-in after a demo
• Understand how the site is used so we can improve its content and performance
• Keep the site secure, prevent spam and abuse, and comply with legal obligations

Our marketing is internal: we use your information to communicate with you about Plug Figures ourselves. You can ask us to stop at any time.

We don’t sell your data

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we have not done so. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing or advertising. We share it only with the service providers described below, who process it on our behalf, and when the law requires it.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the site — for example, which pages are popular and how people arrive here. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect usage and device information, along with an approximate location based on your IP address. We use these reports in aggregate; we don’t use Google Analytics to identify you personally.

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. This site uses:

• Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics to measure site usage
• Security cookies set by Cloudflare, our content delivery and security provider, to protect the site from malicious traffic
• Functional cookies needed for forms and, for site administrators, to stay signed in

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block analytics cookies, the site will still work.

Service providers

We use trusted service providers to run this website. They process information only on our instructions and for the purposes described here:

• Website hosting — stores the site and the form submissions you send us
• Cloudflare — content delivery and security
• Google — Google Analytics
• Email delivery provider — sends notifications to our team when you submit a form

How long we keep information

We keep form submissions for as long as we need them to respond to you and to maintain our relationship with your firm, and then delete them. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics retention settings. We may keep information longer if the law requires it.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct information that is inaccurate
• Ask us to delete your information
• Object to or ask us to stop using your information for marketing
• Receive a copy of your information in a portable format

To make a request, use our contact form and choose “Privacy / data request.” We’ll respond within the time required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first. Because we do not sell personal information, there is nothing to opt out of in that respect — but you are always welcome to ask us what we hold.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to submissions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

International transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

Children’s privacy

This site is intended for accounting professionals and businesses. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
